Homogeneous
Traditional conveyor belting is manufactured with a number of fabric layers (carcass) that are subject to fraying on the edges leading to separation of the belt layers. Volta homogeneous conveyor belting is constructed of a single layer of Thermoplastic-Elastomer. There is no carcass to be exposed and/or frayed.

Excellent Grip
Many applications require a high degree of grip or other mechanical solutions, between the conveyor belt and the transported material in order to convey goods on an incline or decline. Volta conveyor belts come in a wide range of grip characteristics (coefficient of friction) to satisfy demanding applications. The excellent inherent grip characteristic of Volta conveyor belts eliminates the need for costly cleats or other fabricated solutions.

Water and Oil Resistant
The fabric carcasses of conventional belts absorbs water and oils leading to premature belt deterioration and failure. Volta conveyor belts are made of a single layer of homogeneous thermoplastic-Elastomer that is essentially impervious to oil and water.

Resistant to Cuts
Sharp or coarse materials cut into the belt material. These cuts cause peeling of the main belt material. Volta conveyor belting has a thick homogeneous layer that withstands cuts and prevents the expansion of existing cuts.

Quality Fabrications
The attachment of cleats and other fabrications on conventional conveyor belting uses adhesives that bond only with the outer layer of the belt. This conditions can lead to separation of the attached part and/or peeling of the thin outer layer. Cleats and other fabrications are attached to Volta conveyor belting by heat, thus welding the pieces to the belt, and not an attachment, making separation nearly impossible.

Wide Belts Specially Made to Order
Some applications require unusually wide and/or non-standard belt widths. The propitiatory Thermoplastic-Elastomers used by Volta belting and our unique technology allow for easy and accurate longitudinal welding of belts to any non-standard width required by the customer.

Resistant to Abrasion
Course materials, such as bricks and wood rapidly wear away the top layers of conveyor belts, exposing the carcass and reducing belt performance and life expectancy. Volta conveyor belting is made from Thermoplastic-Elastomers that are highly resistant to abrasion, thus providing extended belt usage.
